What do you think is the solution to the current issues facing the industry. The unbearable torments and disrespect that established musicians enact on the upcoming artists?

I don’t really know, am not sure if there’s a permanent or very effective measure on fighting that vice. Were all born differently. Different families, different occasions, different societies and by different mothers. Most importantly were raised differently. I cant groom a grown up man on his manners and or how he should act in public or how he should treat his fellow people. Not knowing how he grew up, there’s really very little we can do about that. The least we can do is what were doing right now, talking about them, advising them, the rest really depends on them. We cant spoon feed a grown up man with beans when he wants silver fish.

Why do you think those artist do that?

Well I think it has to do with pride first of all. The reason why most established artist chase those up coming artists out of studio, to my view is pride. They are too full of themselves, they forget that they all exactly started from the stand where that upcoming artist is. You see we cant know what tomorrow brings. You might look down on someone today, not knowing that hes next years award winner. You’ll need him and there’s no way he could consider helping you flashing back on how rubbishy you treated him back in the days. I really don’t second to such bullying.

Another reason could be, insecurity. They feel challenged. Gone are the days when music and recording was a mystery to most people. Nowadays the music industry is so open to everyone, and people are finding out that through music, one can better express themselves. And studios are accessible to everyone, whoever has talent, whoever has skill, whoever has dime, and whoever knows what they’re doing.

So artist feel challenged about that. They want to be the only ones who access the studio coz they think its them that deserve it, everyone else doesn’t. And on the the insecurity part, they feel that no more people access the studio, the more the competition which leads to shared audience. The up comer might perhaps steal a few fans from them. Or they fear that, what if the song becomes a hit! So its mostly selfishness, pride and insecurity. Not forgetting despise. They look down on upcoming artists.

What do you think should be done, at best?

Well the first step in fighting that vice is by cleaning the studios. Producers should take control of the music studios. They should have rules regulating everyone’s actions in the studio. And they should show sides, not just being silent when such things are happening. Talk, despise the act. The studio is your house not anyone’s, so have the control and voice.

Which type of rules do you think have to be put in place by music producers?

Well first and foremost, they should become modern. Every artist should only come to the studio space when its there session time. That controls all the unnecessary confrontations and distraction.

Then number 2, a studio should have something like a waiting room. Some studios have writing rooms. So that would be an option. Other than letting everyone congest in the studio, mixing up with whoever they don’t wanna be next to.

Who is your role model in the Music production category of this music industry?

I would give that to Jack Rollen. Guy Is talented, got skills, hes creative, I just like him.
